For a while now, whenever I want to check out a place in the world, I have been searching on that place using flickr, rather than a search engine like google. the idea is that people who have traveled to that place, probably took in, and photographed, a real 'attractions' of that location. It has always seemed to me like the most logical thing to do to get a real feel for a locale. Now there is a site that addresses the same concept, Fun Tourist Attractions. It groups pictures of popular travel destinations from around the world. You can view popular tourist attractions from San Francisco to India. Check it out.

My connection ot the Himalayan region of the world never ceases to astonish me. i have always wanted to go, but am probably a dead ringer for altitude sickness.
