Now you have only one list to worry / care about, and it takes the guess work out for your friends and family when it comes to them buying gifts for you. Hence, you can share it with anybody. i get asked about programs like this a lot. and since i dont have kids, i probably dont really understand the magnititude of the issue. so, i am not a real believer in monitoring anyone's internet use, i believe that life makes information know to you when you are ready to deal with it. But if you feel that it is better to be safe than sorry, then check out McGruff SafeGuard. it is an Internet monitoring tool for parents. It can record and analyze e-mail, chats, sites visited and social networking profiles. It can alert you to certain key topics. Those include drugs, bullying, sexual content, suicide and talking to strangers.

For those that cant seem to pull themselves away from the browser, there is x.minutes.at-- a plug-in for your browser than curtails your time spent on at a URL. Just enter your time limit and the Web site. The requested site will open with a timer at the top. The timer can be set to any length of time. When it runs down, a warning pops up. Seems like a silly approach to internet addiction, but who knows...
